Breaking Dawn begins filming in Louisiana with Thight Security

We have seen Rob and Kristen left Brazil airport to be back in US soil and continue filming Breaking Dawn. There have been several trespassing during filming is Brazil and now they are taking even more precaution in Baton Rouge. Scene a local Lousiana entertainment magazine has the details....

Scene sat down Winston Achee at our office on the lot at Raleigh Studios to discuss the dramatic increases in security measures here. Achee is chief of security for the Celtic Corporation, which owns the studio facility also known as the Celtic Media Centre.

In the weeks leading up to Twilight‘s arrival, Raleigh Studios has been steadily implementing new security measures, including vehicle identification requirements and unique photo badges that authorized personnel must display at all times. But, by far, the most significant change is a 600% increase in the size of the studios own security force.

In addition to the direct hires, another twenty man force has been added as well. “So, we’ll have on property at all times a forty-eight man force. We are not taking security on this property lightly,” Achee says.

The high profile project also brings its own high profile security. In addition to the personal body guards employed by stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, the production itself employs additional security. “The security that the production has brought doubles our own force,” says Achee. “We will absolutely prosecute every person who trespasses,” says Achee. “There have been six who trespassed before and they have all been caught.” When asked how he knew only six had trespassed before, Achee’s answer came quick: “Security cameras. The property is covered with high definition security cameras. A camera mounted on the [main building] can capture the license plate of a car all the way on the other side of the property.” The security camera system video is stored to a source that is backed up offsite. Additionally, the system has a back-up power supply that allows it to continue operating in the event of a power failure.

They better have better security. As much as I do love to see and hear all the updates from Breaking Dawn filming, I would rather see no spoilers and watch the movie with more anticipation. Don't you think?

New Pictures of Isle Esme shoots in Paratay

I guess nothing can stop an eager and determine papz or fan to get more info on what is going on in Paratay.

.

Hmmm....White and Red chess set....from the book cover, Brilliant!

Kissing, playing chess and sex (we won't be seeing any pictures but we are damn sure there are sex). Looks like, so far so good on following the book.

On Friday, 12, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart filmed the scenes of the honeymoon between Edward and Bella in the new movie Breaking Dawn. The scene took place in the beach bag Mamanguá in Paraty, Costa Green River, opposite the house where the production was to run the scenes of the couple's honeymoon. Prior to film in Paraty, where he also recorded a waterfall in the region of Taquari, Kristen and Robert have romantic scenes in Lapa, Rio Centro The mansion where the case has a lot of shooting, as well as private beach, six suites and 700 m2 decks and balconies with panoramic views and exclusive access by boat or helicopter, which facilitates the privacy of the team. The price of room rent ranges from £ 8000 for three days, and $ 15,000 for ten days.

A round up of Breaking Dawn's filming updates

New Pic of Isle Esme from Nov 10th with the window blocked off and a security boat keeping watch

Here's a round-up of what's going down on the set of Breaking Dawn in Rio from twitters.

Filming at Isle Esme started around 10:30 am with scenes being shot inside the house. The scenes weren't shot in order. So they filmed the morning after scenes first (bruises and phone call) and the hot and steamy scenes were being shot later on that night.

There was only a few people on the set. Rob, Kristen, about 2 or 3 cameramen and Bill.
It hasn't been confirmed if Stephenie Meyer was there or not but it has been "rumoured" that she was present at the filming of the bedroom scenes.

Then they moved onto the beach where "according" to a fan there, Kristen recorded the waterfall scene in a white bikini and shorts. "Rumour" also has it that it was Steph's idea that Kristen wear shorts over her swimsuit for that scene.

There was a boat full of papz at the island pointing to the house where they were staying (the production house), not the house that they were filming at, although as you can see from the photo above they didn't have much chance of getting any pics as the house was bocked off and there was a security boat on patrol.

The water sex scene wrapped at 1am. Bill Condon was very happy. Filming should wrap today (Nov 11th) with just a few details left to shoot. It's said that Rob and Kristen are to leave Brazil Saturday (Nov 13th).

Edward Cullen looking HOT in RED!

Robert Pattinson in full Edward Cullen make-up on his way to the set of Breaking Dawn in Rio.

Source

[Ina Noorazan] - Look at that angular chin! You could cut glass (or grate cheese) with that jaw!

Bella's honeymoon dress is a VINTAGE!

If you love Bella's nude sheath (you know the cream coloured dress she wore while smooching hubby Edward on the streets of Lapa) and want to get one, unfortunately, Summit Entertainment has confirmed the dress is “one-of-a-kind vintage.”

[Ina Noorazan] - the dress just screams "Alice Cullen Approved!" ;)

Billy Burke hints at new scene in 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'

Billy Burke (“Charlie Swan” in the Twilight series films) hinted at one thing Twilight fans can look forward to seeing from him in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

For me, my character actually gets to find out some stuff in these next two installments. I’ve been oblivious to the entire situation . . . so Charlie learns some things and I can’t wait for that moment when Charlie sees a werewolf.

In the book, we learned that Charlie saw Jacob transform in front of him. Here’s how it happened in the book. From pages 495-96:

“He phased in front of Charlie,” Edward hissed.

I whispered, “You what?”

“He’s brave. Brave as you are. Didn’t pass out or throw up or anything. I gotta say, I was impressed. You should’ve seen his face when I started taking my clothes off, though. Priceless . . . .

So I knocked on Charlie’s door this morning and asked him to come for a walk with me. He was confused, but when I told him it was about you and that you were back in town, he followed me out to the woods. I told him you weren’t sick anymore, and that things were a little weird but good.

He was about to take off to see you, but I told him I had to show him something first. And then I phased . . . I phased back and got dressed, and then after he started breathing again, I said something like ‘Charlie, you don’t live in the world you thought you lived in. The good news is, nothing has changed – except that you know now. Life’ll go on the same way it always has. You can go right back to pretending that you don’t believe any of this.’

It took him a minute to get his head together, then he wanted to know what was really going on with you, with the whole rare-disease thing. I told him you had been sick, but you were fine now – it was just that you’d had to change a little bit in the process of getting better. He wanted to know what I meant by ‘change,’ and I told him that you looked a lot more like Esme now than you looked like Renee . . .

After a few minutes, he asked, real quietly, if you turned into an animal, too. And I said, ‘She wishes she was that cool!’” Jacob chuckled.

"Charlie's side" was definitely included, so this is refreshing to hear that we'll actually get to see his reaction to the occasion rather than just hear about it.

Pathways that 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' could explore {SPOILER ALERT!}

On several occasions, when speaking of the decision to split Breaking Dawn into two films, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg noted that one of the biggest questions considered was whether there was enough material in the story to warrant making two films.

In Eclipse, the potential for backstory development material and content which was otherwise out of "Bella’s" viewpoint during the books is great with these films, and there are several instances in Breaking Dawn where the same is quite possible.

A few ideas that could be explored (SPOILER ALERT!)

Jacob: For starters, there is a lot left unseen where "Jacob Black" is concerned. Until he shows up at the wedding reception for "Bella" and "Edward," he is wandering. His individual trials as well as his relationship with the wolfpack before, during, and after this moment are all paths which can be explored on-screen.

The 'Volturi' and their side of the story in Breaking Dawn: Though it is rather effective to experience the threat that is the "Volturi" from the side of those in Forks, Washington alone when reading the book, there is a lot of room for growth in this storyline. What were they planning? What conversations did they have before coming to Forks? How is the dynamic exhibited on the field reflected in their planning behaviors? There is a lot more we could learn about the "Volturi" during these moments. Knowing what they saw or discussed was very interesting in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and with Breaking Dawn – since they become the central villain group for the story – this could be even more so.

Histories: As with the Quileute Legends backstory and southern wars history from "Jasper" in Eclipse, Breaking Dawn features at least two other steps back in time: child vampires and half-vampires. Two of the newest mythological concepts in the story of Breaking Dawn are these. Through conversations and events, we learn that there was a tradition of creating and keeping child vampires which doomed the "Denali" mother (this later animates a whole new set of events for the story with "Irina"). We also learn that there were instances of human/vampire romantic behaviors in the past that brought to life at least one like "Renesmee" before. Giving visual life to these accounts would add material for the films as well as effectively parlay the information they contain.

Alice and Jasper: When "Alice" and "Jasper" leave Forks, they are on a mission. "Bella" knows this, thanks to the handy clues left behind for her, and this aides her in seeking potential paths of rescue. But what were they doing and who did they speak to while away? This is a question that many fans would love to see answered, and it is one which the film version of Breaking Dawn could easily elucidate.

Charlie’s side: Before "Jacob" invites "Charlie" to see "Bella," there is a long period of likely agonizing time where he is in the dark about her condition. Chances are, there is a lot of untapped material available in that story as well, and it would probably work well to pace the reintroduction of the two to see a bit of his side of things.

Possible Who's Who in the supporting role

Summit Entertainment has announced the actors that were casted in supporting roles. However since they didn't specify who plays which character, this has led to a bit of discussion but everyone seemed to know that there wouldn't be a casting announcement if the parts weren't somewhat significant.

MTV's Hollywood Crush came up with the following ideas about which actors might be paired with which roles:

• Ty Olsson as "J. Jenks"
The 36-year-old actor who is best known for his work in "2012" and "X2" is a dead ringer for the balding, middle-aged attorney James Jenks that Bella deals with several times over the course of "Breaking Dawn." He has a fairly important part in the story, so it makes a lot of sense that an established actor would be cast in the role instead of a newcomer.

• Wendell Pierce as "Max"
He is a seasoned actor thanks to roles in "The Wire" and "Treme" who seems to match the vague description given for Jenks's in-between man Max. He is described as having "crinkly black hair" and "dark skin" that was "smooth and perfect," a contradiction to his teeth that were "white and straight." Though his age isn't given, it can be assumed that an older man (like Wendell) would be working for Jenks, and not someone younger.

• Amadou Ly as "Nahuel"
Nahuel is described as having skin that is an "impossibly rich, dark brown," "warm teak" eyes and hair that was "black and braided, too, like the woman's, though not as long." Amadou Ly might not have that hair in the pictures we've seen online, but the 22-year-old Senegalian actor definitely satisfies Nahuel's description in every other way.

• Carolina Virguez as "Huilen"
It seems very likely that Hispanic actress Carolina Virguiez will be playing Huilen, who is (based on the information in the book) probably in her 20s or 30s and is described as a "small olive-toned female vampire with a long braid of black hair." Since Huilen is Machupe, an indigenous inhabitant of south-central Chile and southwestern Argentina, Carolina seems like a perfect match, but she also could be playing Kaure, a Brazilian employee at Isle Esme described as being "a slight female" with a face "creased with lines."

• Sebastiao Lemos as "Gustavo"
He seems the most likely choice to play Gustavo, the other Brazilian employee at Isle Esme. He is described as "a round man" whose face is also "creased with lines."

• Olga Fonda as "Renata"
Olga who has had bit roles in "Melrose Place" and "How I Met Your Mother," might be playing Renata, Aro's shield vampire. Renata doesn't get a physical description in the book (or many lines), but there's something about the way Olga carries herself that she'd be totally badass as Renata.

• Janelle Froehlich as "Chelsea"
She is best known for "Hacienda Heights," could be the best choice to play Chelsea, one of the Volturi guard who is important in "Breaking Dawn" because of her ability to change others' loyalties. Like Renata, she doesn't get a physical description, but she spends a lot of time with Alec and Jane and we figure she'll probably look physically younger, like they do.

• Masami Osaka as "Mr. Weber"
That leaves Japanese actor Masami Kosaka as the last of the eight actors, who has the lucky role of being the man to make Edward and Bella husband and wife. Who else would he be playing but Angela Weber's father, Mr. Weber, who conducts the wedding ceremony at the beginning of the film. Coincidentally, Masami also worked alongside Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in "The Runaways" as "Japanese journalist.

New photos from Isle Esme

Here are the most recent photos of the love shack de Cullen. Plants and flowers are being added. Sand smoothed out. Production is moving furniture and all hands on the set are moving around like busy bees. Capricho journalist Aline (self proclaimed "crazy Twilight journalist") says that it took her a short 25 minute boat ride to find the house and that they were kept 200 feet away but not barred from taking photographs.

Is this red flag THE destination in the water for ground zero. Ground zero being the place where Edward Cullen kills us all with his naked body in the water in the moonlight?

Worry not about the missing wrist cuff

According to the twitter of Sérgio Sá Leitão (seen in blue next to Bill Condon at a press conference), the director of Rio Filme, the organization that is working with Summit in Brazil:

“A ilha, a praia e a casa vão ficar lindas em Amanhecer. E não se preocupem com a ausência do bracelete… Tudo de acordo com o planejado.Depende da montagem. Mas se for isso… Está ótimo. Igual ao livro. @karinnasoares: Verdade q só teremos 5min de Brasil no filme Amanhecer?

Translation

“The island, the beach, and the house will all be beautiful for Breaking Dawn. Don’t worry about the missing bracelet (we assume he means wrist cuff). Everything is going according to plan. Even if Brazil is only in the movie for five minutes after they edit all the footage together, it’s going to be a spectacular five minutes.”

Another discussion arose surrounding Edward not wearing a wedding ring. Folks immediately went back to the novel where: surprise, surprise there is NO MENTION of Edward having a wedding ring (or the ring part of the ceremony at all for that matter). Another excellent point brought up on Twifans was that prior to WWII it was uncommon for men to wear wedding rings, maybe Edward wouldn’t want one since he was born in 1901?

Press Conference With Director Bill Condon In Rio

Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon gave a press conference in Brazil. Here’s the English translation of the R7 article of the press conference.

In a rush for the filming of Dawn, the fourth film in the Twilight Saga, director Bill Condon gave a press conference on the afternoon of Monday (Nov 8th) at Cine Roxy in Copacabana, south of Rio de Janeiro.

The director told R7, actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are enjoying the affection of fans.

- Both me and they’re enjoying the affection of fans. Incidentally, I want to say it to them (Rio). We are enjoying the warmth of the crowd and the city.

The director said the choice of the city as a location was stimulated by Rio Films, co-producer of Dawn, who decided to include the state capital in the script of the story.

- Rio is a very vibrant place, so we decided that the city would come in the film. We wanted this vibration was evident at Dawn. We did a scene in Lapa Edward [Pattinson] and Bella [Kristen] to show the real side of carioca culture.

Condon also said that the aim of production was less stereotyped find places on the screens. Therefore, there was the option for the island and Lapa bag Mamanguá in Paraty, on the southern coast of Rio, where the team should follow today.

The producer, Wyck Godfrey, revealed that filming with the actors in the river have been closed. Sergio Sa Leitao, president of River Films, added that the staff of Sunrise should be back to Rio just to make aerial images of the city.

Asked if the couple had time to know the city, the director said the entire schedule was planned to focus on just shooting.

-The schedule is very tight, but we love what little we have seen and know. I met the bossa nova, for example.

In the interview, the director also took criticism for the star Sylvester Stallone, who shot scenes of The Expendables in Brazil in 2009. The star spoke ill of the city.

- Forget Stallone. We love the city and not get out of here I’m speaking ill of Rio open invitation to attend the 2011 Rio Film Festival and surely will be here.

Rio Films said the film crew will be ten days in Rio de Janeiro – they arrived on Friday (Nov 5th) – but that will only be five days of filming. The remaining days will be to shift production and equipment.

Here is another article of the press conference from G1 via Twilight Brazil.

“We feel safe here. The writer thought of the river as a place to pass the story, and we are pleased to be here, “said Wyck Godfrey, producer of the film.

The final installment of Stephanie Meyer has scenes that take place in the country, hence the desire to film in the state of Rio However, a shooting that happened in August in the capital shuddered negotiations. At the time, the foreign producer claimed lack of assurance that the recordings took place in the Rio

“It’s very easy and funny to be in Rio We had all the necessary incentives. We’ve been waiting so long, “said the film’s director, Bill Condon.

Actress Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson arrived in Rio on the morning of Friday (Nov 5th) for the filming of “Sunrise.” On Sunday (Nov 7th), the actors filmed in Lapa. Some residents came to complain about the recordings. But according to producer Sergio Sa Leitao, Rio Films, the production was not aware of complaints.

“People who were involved in the filming took no notice of any problem in Lapa. All residents and merchants were warned in advance. What happened is that some residents have forgotten that they needed proof of residence to enter the street that was closed to traffic, “he said.

According to the film’s production, filming in Lapa ended at around 7am on Monday (Nov 8th). Also on Monday, the actors head to Paraty, Rio de Janeiro State in the South, where they remain until next Friday (Nov 12th) to finish the filming of the movie in Rio

“We want the river to become consolidated as a pole of international productions. And this is already happening. The city is the most popular for film productions, “said Sergio Leitao.

We now officially have an Isle Esme!

We posted earlier a possible Isle Esme location and the house where the "magic" for Bella and Edward is going to happen and that information has now been confirmed.

We might not be receiving much more information about the house from this point on since it's in utter seclusion and under extreme tight security. However, it is reportedly that the original furniture of the house are being saved and protected and being replaced with furniture that fit the description of the book by Stephenie Meyer. Besides furniture, there is already heavy equipment and three generators, two of them being at sea and one in the house at the Isle Esme location.

Everyone involved with the film production, foreign and Brazilian, were summoned to a meeting Saturday where they were informed that it will be forbidden to bring cameras or cell phones to the filming. If anyone brings a recording device or gives the press information they will be dismissed and the person may be prosecuted. Since yesterday a boat from the port is already located to support the security of the site.

A helicopter to land on the nearby mansion is to be used to transport the actors Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

New pics of Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart filming Breaking Dawn (part 1) in Lapa, Brazil

Pattinson and Stewart have also been spotted filming a street scene in Lapa (most likely from the airport to the boat). It appears they're driving a silver car for the scene. Another report from the area states: "They say that there is a different scene from the book. There is a traffic jam and the couple decide to leave the taxi and walk on the street."

Via RobPattznews, the translation from the source:

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had a busy morning on Monday (7) in Rio de Janeiro. After participating in the fourth feature scenes from "Twilight" at the Marina da Gloria, the actors also played in the neighborhood of Lapa.

Missing 3 minutes to midnight, they crossed the iron gates that separated the Street Invalids and location of the set. A patrol of the Municipal Guard accompanied the outlet. While production dined at Pink Fleet boat, the actors chose to recharge at the hotel, which left about 15 minutes for half the night and went straight to work. Robert and Kristen arrived on the scene in separate cars.

For all happened as planned, production has bothered to mount a special security scheme in place - which turned into a film set between midnight and 7 o'clock in the morning.

The team closed an entire block for long. To access the site, residents needed throughout the day and at night, provide proof of residence. The production also rented apartments and windows between $ 50 and $ 500 reais, depending on the distance of where everything is filmed for the movie.

The neighborhood of Lapa, which is famous as a meeting point, the bars had closed. According to rumors, the production paid between $ 10,000 and $ 20,000 for owners of establishments that needed to halt its sales function in the film. "

On the set of Breaking Dawn (part 1) - Boat Scene

All eyes are on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil right now because The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is currently being filmed there with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart and director Bill Condon and producers Wyck Godfrey and Stephenie Meyer.

Here is the "boat scene" to Isle Esme involving Pattinson and Stewart as newlyweds "Edward and Bella Cullen" was shot.

Robert Pattinson with director Bill Condon

Sérgio Sá Leitão, whose Twitter page was instrumental in confirming that production would head to Brazil from the outset, issued fans a few updates on Twitter once again:

News from the front … Everything to be perfect on the set of Dawn. 300 + extras. Whimsical production. The river will be beautiful in the movie!

The director Bill Condon is on set! As you can see our plans worked out well! I feel that our efforts were not in vain! Congratulations to the fans! All quiet!

Before any of this happened, Pattinson and Stewart stepped onto the balcony of their hotel to wave a kind hello to awaiting fans.

Meet Sasha Denali

With the many casting announcements that have come down in recent months, it might've seemed as though there weren't any more roles to fill (other than, of course, extras) with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, but it seems that there was at least one.

Andrea Powell, who currently stars in The Gates, posted the following messages on her Facebook page:

. . . looks like I'll be making an appearance in the next #Twilight movie...and that my loyalties are now divided.

No word yet on whether or not I sparkle. At the VERY least I'm hoping for some really cool eyes. :-)

I'll be playing Sasha, "mother" of Tanya, Kate & Irina.

Thanks to the Twilight Saga Wiki page, here's a handy reminder description for the character:

Sasha created Vasilii, an immortal child. She kept his existence from Tanya and her sisters, to save them from the fate of being executed by the Volturi, which seems to indicate that she expected it to happen. The Volturi got involved and executed Sasha by means of burning, with Vasilii in her arms. Tanya and her sisters witnessed their mother’s death but were not destroyed afterwards. Their mother’s death instilled a healthy respect for the laws of the vampire world in the sisters.

Her inclusion in the film means that there'll probably be a flashback sequence involving her and the "immortal child" she adopted, as well as, potentially, the "Denali" daughters (Maggie Grace as "Irina", Casey LaBow as "Kate," and Mia Maestro as "Carmen"). This'll be a good way to explain the danger which "Irina" felt upon seeing "Renesmee" - which then sparks her tattling to the "Volturi," of course.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Stephanie Meyer are now in Brazil and Possible Isle Esme?

I know most of you have heard about this news from other sources like one or two days ago. But since I am still excited about it, I just wanna share the news again.

I am currently reading Breaking Dawn (for not sure how many times) and is so excited to know that they are now is Brazil filming the honeymoon scene. I hope with Stephanie Meyer there, it won't get to much out of the story line and wouldn't mind for extra. ;)

If earlier reports on Melissa Rosenberg saying it will be sexy and hot are true...it's gonna be EPIC. Robsten chemistry is such a bomb! Feathers flying, headboard chopped/broke off...fuh!! My heart stopped just by thinking about it. (starting it back now).

Get a look at a possible Isle Esme......

Could this be the possible location for Isle Esme?  As we all know, Isle Esme is the place where Edward takes Bella on their honeymoon.  What a beautiful beach house and it resembles the Cullen house with all the windows.   You can go to their website CasaEmParatay to check it out!

Overview
Located in a paradisiac area, the house designed by Thiago Bernardes has complete infrastructure, with comfort and privacy, in a 220 meters private beach. Additionally, it has exclusive access by boat or helicopter.
