'Breaking Dawn' Birthing Scene May Occur Offscreen, Screenwriter Says

'Twilight' scribe Melissa Rosenberg says she'll leave those decisions up to director Bill Condon.

Now that it's been confirmed that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" is being split into two flicks, fans want even more details on how screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg will adapt the Stephenie Meyer novel, which includes a lot of sex and an incredibly gory birthing scene, into two PG-13 films. Well, there's a good chance the graphic images of Bella in labor won't be shown at all, Rosenberg says.

"On the fan site, on Facebook, all the comments are, 'It has to be R rated! You have to show the childbirth! Gore and guts and sex!' For me it's actually more interesting to not see it," Rosenberg recently told the Los Angeles Times. "You know, you can do childbirth without seeing childbirth. ... It doesn't mean it's any less evocative of an experience."

When MTV News caught up with Rosenberg to talk about "Eclipse," she said she was going to leave a lot of those hard decisions, like how to show Bella giving birth to vampire spawn Renesmee, to director Bill Condon. "From a screenwriter standpoint that's gonna land more squarely in the director's hands," she teased. "That's one of those things [where] I kind of say [and] make a few sort of general suggestions on the page and say, 'Go! Go, Bill! Do it!' "

Franchise star Robert Pattinson told MTV News that he's glad he doesn't have to be the guy who decides how to bring the birthing scene to life. "I think that's going to be very funny," he said. "The only thing I know about it is the famous scene: the kind of cesarean scene ... I do not envy Bill Condon to have to think of some way to do that."

Facebook games Cafe World, Petville paying homage to 'Twilight'

A couple of the most popular Zynga games on Facebook have been catering to Twilight fans lately.

Both PetVille and Cafe World have added Twilight series-related goodies to their "stores," and among the many things offered are costumes, Bella's truck, a werewolf, "Petward Cullen" statues, and Vampire Staked Steak.

According to Frisky Mongoose, on PetVille, "Zynga calls this theme 'Dusk,' but trust me, they are Twilight items through and through." To add to "Petward Cullen," FM reports, "new 'Jaycub' items will be available in the game 'soon.'"

About Cafe World, AOL reports, "For those who want to collect both Twilight hunks, Edward is listed as Twinkling Vampire, is animated to sparkle, and costs 15 Cafe Cash. Jacob is the shirtless, Transforming Werewolf and costs 16 Cafe Cash." A lot of the items they have pictured look suited to the general vampire genre (as Frisky Mongoose describes it, "an iron table, coffin chairs and thrones, and includes items like a bloody door, coffin door, stained glass window, bloody portrait, werewolf and vampire paintings, castle floor tiles and wallpapers, a foggy forest wallpaper, thorny bushes, bats . . ."), but the "Twinkling Vampire" and "Transforming Werewolf" options are a dead (undead?) giveaway that these are Twilight-inspired.

Games.com speculates as to whether Twilight-inspired Zynga goodies will make their way to YoVille as well.

For those of you who play these games and happen to be Twilight fans also, sounds like a fun way to decorate the fictional properties! Those that played HABBO got the chance to do the same last year around the release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Could this be Vampire Garrett?

‘Breaking Dawn’ Role for Lee Pace Not Yet Close

Eclipse is still in theaters, but rumors are already swirling about potential casting for Breaking Dawn.

On Tuesday, Lee Pace entered the discussion.

An E! Online report claims the former “Pushing Daisies” star is “thisclose” to being cast as a vampire in Breaking Dawn. Specifically, Pace would play Edward Cullen’s pal Garrett, who has “a lightness and element of humor about him.”

“Lee is the top person in the running to play Garrett,” E! quotes a source as saying.

Gossip Cop suspected it was premature to call Pace — or anyone else — “thisclose” to the role, and it looks like we were right.

A production source tells Gossip Cop no one has been cast, and a rep for Pace informs us the actor has not been approached.

So while it’s certainly possible that Pace tops a current wish list for producers, Summit, or director Bill Condon — much like Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s loose “connection” to Batman 3 — Pace’s casting shouldn’t be considered imminent.

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' 'Third Wife' actress details revealed

If you were at all curious who portrayed the "Third Wife" in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, it's Mariel Belanger, and a bit of new information about the actress has recently been revealed by Castanet.net.

Apparently, Belanger is a veteran of the theater as well as a poet, and she also works as a theater director.

In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the "Third Wife" was part of the Quileute Legends backstory told by Billy Black (portrayed by Gil Birmingham in the film).

"This is definitely a break out role for" Mariel Belanger, talent agent Julie Donnelly explained.

While the part was small in the film, it was quite significant to the storyline, since Bella (portrayed by Kristen Stewart) later replicates the heroic actions of the "Third Wife" when she and Edward (Robert Pattinson, of course) are attacked by Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Riley (Xavier Samuel).

Her counterpart in the film, "Taha Aki" was portrayed by Byron Chief-Moon, and Justin Rain also portrayed a Quileute warrior in the film.

Just another interesting tidbit on some of the film's finer details . . .

Kellan Lutz’s Vampire Advice For Kristen Stewart

Kellan Lutz is about to welcome a new addition to his family – his vampire family, that is.

The 25-year-old actor, who plays vampire Emmett Cullen in “The Twilight Saga,” spoke to Access Hollywood at Monday night’s Do Something Awards in Hollywood about his advice for the latest member of his fang-baring family — Kristen Stewart — who plays his future sister-in-law, Bella Swan, in the popular franchise.

*** SPOILER BELOW ***

For those familiar with the books, Bella joins the Cullen clan as a new vampire after she marries Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and gives birth to their child, in the last installment of the series, “Breaking Dawn” (which will be broken up into two films).

“I mean, I am all for her becoming a vampire,” Kellan explained.

“She is gonna have a lot of fun roughhousing. So yea, just embrace it.”

While Kristen anticipates her upcoming transformation, most of Kellan’s fans cannot wait to embrace him, as recent paparazzi photos have revealed the actor’s increasingly impressive physique. However, fans hungry for more Kellan can look forward to watching the actor appear sparsely clothed as the Greek god Poseidon in his upcoming film, “Immortals.”
