Breaking Dawn begins filming in Louisiana with Thight Security
Scene sat down Winston Achee at our office on the lot at Raleigh Studios to discuss the dramatic increases in security measures here. Achee is chief of security for the Celtic Corporation, which owns the studio facility also known as the Celtic Media Centre.
In the weeks leading up to Twilight‘s arrival, Raleigh Studios has been steadily implementing new security measures, including vehicle identification requirements and unique photo badges that authorized personnel must display at all times. But, by far, the most significant change is a 600% increase in the size of the studios own security force.
In addition to the direct hires, another twenty man force has been added as well. “So, we’ll have on property at all times a forty-eight man force. We are not taking security on this property lightly,” Achee says.
The high profile project also brings its own high profile security. In addition to the personal body guards employed by stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, the production itself employs additional security. “The security that the production has brought doubles our own force,” says Achee. “We will absolutely prosecute every person who trespasses,” says Achee. “There have been six who trespassed before and they have all been caught.” When asked how he knew only six had trespassed before, Achee’s answer came quick: “Security cameras. The property is covered with high definition security cameras. A camera mounted on the [main building] can capture the license plate of a car all the way on the other side of the property.” The security camera system video is stored to a source that is backed up offsite. Additionally, the system has a back-up power supply that allows it to continue operating in the event of a power failure.

They better have better security. As much as I do love to see and hear all the updates from Breaking Dawn filming, I would rather see no spoilers and watch the movie with more anticipation. Don't you think?

New Pictures of Isle Esme shoots in Paratay

Hmmm....White and Red chess set....from the book cover, Brilliant! |
Kissing, playing chess and sex (we won't be seeing any pictures but we are damn sure there are sex). Looks like, so far so good on following the book.
On Friday, 12, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart filmed the scenes of the honeymoon between Edward and Bella in the new movie Breaking Dawn. The scene took place in the beach bag Mamanguá in Paraty, Costa Green River, opposite the house where the production was to run the scenes of the couple's honeymoon. Prior to film in Paraty, where he also recorded a waterfall in the region of Taquari, Kristen and Robert have romantic scenes in Lapa, Rio Centro The mansion where the case has a lot of shooting, as well as private beach, six suites and 700 m2 decks and balconies with panoramic views and exclusive access by boat or helicopter, which facilitates the privacy of the team. The price of room rent ranges from £ 8000 for three days, and $ 15,000 for ten days.

A round up of Breaking Dawn's filming updates

Here's a round-up of what's going down on the set of Breaking Dawn in Rio from twitters.
Filming at Isle Esme started around 10:30 am with scenes being shot inside the house. The scenes weren't shot in order. So they filmed the morning after scenes first (bruises and phone call) and the hot and steamy scenes were being shot later on that night.
There was only a few people on the set. Rob, Kristen, about 2 or 3 cameramen and Bill.
It hasn't been confirmed if Stephenie Meyer was there or not but it has been "rumoured" that she was present at the filming of the bedroom scenes.
Then they moved onto the beach where "according" to a fan there, Kristen recorded the waterfall scene in a white bikini and shorts. "Rumour" also has it that it was Steph's idea that Kristen wear shorts over her swimsuit for that scene.
There was a boat full of papz at the island pointing to the house where they were staying (the production house), not the house that they were filming at, although as you can see from the photo above they didn't have much chance of getting any pics as the house was bocked off and there was a security boat on patrol.
The water sex scene wrapped at 1am. Bill Condon was very happy. Filming should wrap today (Nov 11th) with just a few details left to shoot. It's said that Rob and Kristen are to leave Brazil Saturday (Nov 13th).

Billy Burke hints at new scene in 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'

For me, my character actually gets to find out some stuff in these next two installments. I’ve been oblivious to the entire situation . . . so Charlie learns some things and I can’t wait for that moment when Charlie sees a werewolf.
In the book, we learned that Charlie saw Jacob transform in front of him. Here’s how it happened in the book. From pages 495-96:
“He phased in front of Charlie,” Edward hissed.
I whispered, “You what?”
“He’s brave. Brave as you are. Didn’t pass out or throw up or anything. I gotta say, I was impressed. You should’ve seen his face when I started taking my clothes off, though. Priceless . . . .
"Charlie's side" was definitely included, so this is refreshing to hear that we'll actually get to see his reaction to the occasion rather than just hear about it.

Pathways that 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' could explore {SPOILER ALERT!}

In Eclipse, the potential for backstory development material and content which was otherwise out of "Bella’s" viewpoint during the books is great with these films, and there are several instances in Breaking Dawn where the same is quite possible.
Jacob: For starters, there is a lot left unseen where "Jacob Black" is concerned. Until he shows up at the wedding reception for "Bella" and "Edward," he is wandering. His individual trials as well as his relationship with the wolfpack before, during, and after this moment are all paths which can be explored on-screen.
The 'Volturi' and their side of the story in Breaking Dawn: Though it is rather effective to experience the threat that is the "Volturi" from the side of those in Forks, Washington alone when reading the book, there is a lot of room for growth in this storyline. What were they planning? What conversations did they have before coming to Forks? How is the dynamic exhibited on the field reflected in their planning behaviors? There is a lot more we could learn about the "Volturi" during these moments. Knowing what they saw or discussed was very interesting in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and with Breaking Dawn – since they become the central villain group for the story – this could be even more so.
Histories: As with the Quileute Legends backstory and southern wars history from "Jasper" in Eclipse, Breaking Dawn features at least two other steps back in time: child vampires and half-vampires. Two of the newest mythological concepts in the story of Breaking Dawn are these. Through conversations and events, we learn that there was a tradition of creating and keeping child vampires which doomed the "Denali" mother (this later animates a whole new set of events for the story with "Irina"). We also learn that there were instances of human/vampire romantic behaviors in the past that brought to life at least one like "Renesmee" before. Giving visual life to these accounts would add material for the films as well as effectively parlay the information they contain.
Alice and Jasper: When "Alice" and "Jasper" leave Forks, they are on a mission. "Bella" knows this, thanks to the handy clues left behind for her, and this aides her in seeking potential paths of rescue. But what were they doing and who did they speak to while away? This is a question that many fans would love to see answered, and it is one which the film version of Breaking Dawn could easily elucidate.
Charlie’s side: Before "Jacob" invites "Charlie" to see "Bella," there is a long period of likely agonizing time where he is in the dark about her condition. Chances are, there is a lot of untapped material available in that story as well, and it would probably work well to pace the reintroduction of the two to see a bit of his side of things.
Possible Who's Who in the supporting role
MTV's Hollywood Crush came up with the following ideas about which actors might be paired with which roles:
• Ty Olsson as "J. Jenks"
The 36-year-old actor who is best known for his work in "2012" and "X2" is a dead ringer for the balding, middle-aged attorney James Jenks that Bella deals with several times over the course of "Breaking Dawn." He has a fairly important part in the story, so it makes a lot of sense that an established actor would be cast in the role instead of a newcomer.
• Wendell Pierce as "Max"
He is a seasoned actor thanks to roles in "The Wire" and "Treme" who seems to match the vague description given for Jenks's in-between man Max. He is described as having "crinkly black hair" and "dark skin" that was "smooth and perfect," a contradiction to his teeth that were "white and straight." Though his age isn't given, it can be assumed that an older man (like Wendell) would be working for Jenks, and not someone younger.
• Amadou Ly as "Nahuel"
Nahuel is described as having skin that is an "impossibly rich, dark brown," "warm teak" eyes and hair that was "black and braided, too, like the woman's, though not as long." Amadou Ly might not have that hair in the pictures we've seen online, but the 22-year-old Senegalian actor definitely satisfies Nahuel's description in every other way.
• Carolina Virguez as "Huilen"
It seems very likely that Hispanic actress Carolina Virguiez will be playing Huilen, who is (based on the information in the book) probably in her 20s or 30s and is described as a "small olive-toned female vampire with a long braid of black hair." Since Huilen is Machupe, an indigenous inhabitant of south-central Chile and southwestern Argentina, Carolina seems like a perfect match, but she also could be playing Kaure, a Brazilian employee at Isle Esme described as being "a slight female" with a face "creased with lines."
• Sebastiao Lemos as "Gustavo"
He seems the most likely choice to play Gustavo, the other Brazilian employee at Isle Esme. He is described as "a round man" whose face is also "creased with lines."
• Olga Fonda as "Renata"
Olga who has had bit roles in "Melrose Place" and "How I Met Your Mother," might be playing Renata, Aro's shield vampire. Renata doesn't get a physical description in the book (or many lines), but there's something about the way Olga carries herself that she'd be totally badass as Renata.
• Janelle Froehlich as "Chelsea"
She is best known for "Hacienda Heights," could be the best choice to play Chelsea, one of the Volturi guard who is important in "Breaking Dawn" because of her ability to change others' loyalties. Like Renata, she doesn't get a physical description, but she spends a lot of time with Alec and Jane and we figure she'll probably look physically younger, like they do.
• Masami Osaka as "Mr. Weber"
That leaves Japanese actor Masami Kosaka as the last of the eight actors, who has the lucky role of being the man to make Edward and Bella husband and wife. Who else would he be playing but Angela Weber's father, Mr. Weber, who conducts the wedding ceremony at the beginning of the film. Coincidentally, Masami also worked alongside Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in "The Runaways" as "Japanese journalist.

New photos from Isle Esme

Here are the most recent photos of the love shack de Cullen. Plants and flowers are being added. Sand smoothed out. Production is moving furniture and all hands on the set are moving around like busy bees. Capricho journalist Aline (self proclaimed "crazy Twilight journalist") says that it took her a short 25 minute boat ride to find the house and that they were kept 200 feet away but not barred from taking photographs.

Is this red flag THE destination in the water for ground zero. Ground zero being the place where Edward Cullen kills us all with his naked body in the water in the moonlight?

■ Filming should shift later today (Nov 9th) to the Isle Esme location
■ It is believed that Stephenie Meyer will be at the Isle Esme location

■ The waterfall scene is maybe 5 minutes tops

Worry not about the missing wrist cuff

According to the twitter of Sérgio Sá Leitão (seen in blue next to Bill Condon at a press conference), the director of Rio Filme, the organization that is working with Summit in Brazil:
“A ilha, a praia e a casa vão ficar lindas em Amanhecer. E não se preocupem com a ausência do bracelete… Tudo de acordo com o planejado.Depende da montagem. Mas se for isso… Está ótimo. Igual ao livro. @karinnasoares: Verdade q só teremos 5min de Brasil no filme Amanhecer?
Translation
Another discussion arose surrounding Edward not wearing a wedding ring. Folks immediately went back to the novel where: surprise, surprise there is NO MENTION of Edward having a wedding ring (or the ring part of the ceremony at all for that matter). Another excellent point brought up on Twifans was that prior to WWII it was uncommon for men to wear wedding rings, maybe Edward wouldn’t want one since he was born in 1901?
