Official Tracklist for New Moon Soundtrack

The official track list for of the Soundtrack for New Moon has been released, and it is an absolutely doozy! This is quite possibly the soundtrack of the year.

Even those who thumb their nose up at the Twilight phenomenon are going to be checking this one out. Critical darlings Grizzly Bear, Radiohead legend Thom Yorke, rockers The Killers and Muse are just some of the treats awaiting the phenomenon of a soundtrack. Here’s the full list–

Taylor Lautner talks Eclipse and Rob Patzz at VMA Red Carpet

In a new interview with Taylor Lautner he tells MTV that Eclipse will be darker than Twilight and New Moon. He also stays that Robert Pattinson has upped his work out, and is giving him (Taylor) a run for his money -

But Lautner isn’t the only one Twilighters got an eyeful of in the trailer — Robert Pattinson also appears sans shirt. And Lautner insists that if the two were to compete in some kind of shirt-off, the competition would be stiff. “I don’t know [who would win]. Rob, he’s getting some muscle,” he explained. “There’s some good competition.”

Lautner famously had to pack on the muscle to reprise his role as Jacob. So we wondered if Pattinson has been seeking advice from him on how to bulk up. “No, he definitely doesn’t need any pointers at all,” Lautner joked. “He’s got it covered.”

Lautner opened up about what it’s been like on-set for the movie’s sequel, “Eclipse.” “Yes it’s a lot of fun,” he said. “I think we’re, like, a month in, so it’s exciting to be back with our new director David Slade and back with the whole team again.”Slade is the third director to helm a “Twilight” flick, and Lautner admits that he’s got a whole new dark take on the saga. “It’s been good. He’s a lot different, but I think he’s going to add a cool taste to the movie,” he explained. “It might be a little darker.”

5 Reason to Love Rob Pattinson

There is no denying it; we are all placed under the "I Love Robert Pattinson" spell that will hopefully never break. Last summer, only a dedicated few knew this British actor was absolutely fabulous. It took the rest of the world a little longer to catch on, but eventually we did, and we gave it everything we have. There are many reasons to love Rob and we took on the daunting task of narrowing the characteristics to the top five.

1. Good Looking. His tussled hair, his chiseled jaw line, and his infectious personality had fans lining up after seeing his first Twilight based interview. Yes, there are many other important qualities to a person besides looks, but when you look like Rob, attention needs to be paid to the details.

2. British Accent. Crisps sound more delicious than potato chips, lift sounds worldlier than elevator and the loo is just more fun to say instead of bathroom. It is no surprise that Americans are infatuated with the British accent; we view it as sexy, debonair, and mostly unique. So when Rob hit the scene, opened his mouth, and his British brogue popped out, fans fell deeper in love

3. Gave Edward Life. Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer painted the picture of Edward Cullen as The Perfect Man. Not only was he painfully good looking, he was sensitive, caring, and a good listener. When Rob morphed into Edward, fans flocked to him because he was brining their hero to life.

4. Humble. Without a doubt, Rob is the most famous person in the world; he tops Google trends, he has been in the top five of IMDb for the past year, and a week does not go by without him on the cover of a magazine. He has a great career, he can buy and do whatever he wants, however he never flaunts his wealth and stays humble throughout all the madness.

5. Part-time Musician. Not only can he rock out to Lynard Skynard late night on set he also has a voice that record labels salivate over. Rob scored himself a spot on the Twilight soundtrack last fall with friend Sam Bradley and it helped the album top the Billboard charts. Pattinson is also a gifted pianist and fans will wait forever for him to be ready to release his own album.

It is hard to only pick five things we love about Robert Pattinson, so if you think we left something out, please add it below. Some runner-up reasons why we love Pattinson are; he nicknamed himself Spunk Ransom, seems to always be happy and smiling, he is not perfect, he loves his hair as much as we do, and he is very articulate in interviews and when interacting with fans. And he has that goo goo gaa gaa effect on the girls..lol. What did we miss?

Chaske Spencer - competition with Rob Patzz

Chaske Spencer played Sam in New Moon and RadarOnline.com exclusively caught up with him before he starts filming Eclipse next week in Vancouver. In part one of the interview we tried to find out everything there is to know about Chaske, his incredible new buff body and his competition with Rob Pattinson!

Radar: You said that you like that the vampire is the cool skinny guy. Rob is basically the only guy in the show that isn’t working out in between scenes because he’s not buffing up, right?
Spencer: No, actually he was training with us.

Radar: Did he go to Wolf Camp?
Spencer: No, he did Vampire Camp! I don’t know what his workout regimen was but he would show up before or after us because we were on two different shooting schedules during New Moon and most of the vampires, I met them for dinner once but then boom, we all went our separate ways to work. I would hear the trainer say oh Rob lifted this much weight, and I’d say really?

Radar: Would you want to lift more than Rob?
Spencer: Yes! There was this competition one day we went into the gym, we have this rowing machine and I really busted my ass and I got a high record on it and I was like, yeah, beat that! Because the wolves are really competitive with each other in the gym. Then the next day I came in and Rob beat me by four seconds! Then filming was done and I never got to go back and try to up that.

Radar: Is that the first things you’re doing on Sunday when you get there?
Spencer: I hope so! I’m going to go row that and see if I can beat his record. Rob would come in either before or after us. I like that, I like that we’re separated from them, it builds the tension. You’ll see the chemistry on screen. I think that’s why they kept us wolves together, because the chemistry will come out on screen, you can’t fake that. Same with the vampires, when we’re on screen with them you’ll see the chemistry – we’re supposed to be competitive against them, resent them for who they are as vampires. I think that will come across. But we don’t resent them in real life. They’re really nice. That’s what I love about the cast, they’re really nice, everyone comes to play They’re ready to work, they’re good people It’s one of the cool things about this production, I don’t think anyone really expected it to be this big of a hit so we’re all just wide eyed and wow. They’re really good people.

New Moon New Trailer will be revealed at VMA 2009

A new New Moon trailer will be presented by non other than Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner during VMA 2009 on 13th September 2009.

Nevertheless, while the big show is taking place, there's going to be plenty happening on MTV.com too. That's where we'll exclusively unveil Death Cab for Cutie's "Meet Me on the Equinox," which has just been tapped as the first single off the "New Moon" soundtrack, which hits stores on October 20.

But hold on.....MTV Asia is only air VMA as a delayed show.

New Moon Soundtrack - Death Cab for Cutie: "Meet Me on the Equinox"

You won’t be able to hear Death Cab’s full track that is the first single off the New Moon soundtrack till September 13th in coordination with the VMAs, but you can now listen to a stunning 40-second sample of the track immediately. You can listen or pre-order the soudtrack here.

Death Cab For Cutie have been spilling details of their video shoot for ‘Meet Me On The Equinox’ to MTV News.

Filming took place in a rustic, somewhat creepy ski lodge outside Toronto last week. Given the “dark and light” themes of the “Twilight” series (and the fact that the song is named after a solar phenomenon), the clip somewhat fittingly draws heavily on the ideas of day and night and light and shadow.

“The whole idea behind the video is that this house that we’re in, this crazy ski lodge of a building here, it’s going to get cut together with scenes from the film, sort of like it’s a place that might be in Forks, sort of a place that might be next door to Bella’s house or something,” DCFC guitarist Chris Walla told MTV News. “All the light stuff that’s happening through the windows, it’s the ‘day-turning-into-night-turning-into-day thing,’ the idea is that it’s supposed to look like a time-lapse thing, only it’s not actually a time-lapse thing, and it’s quite a trick.

Twilight-Gossip.com has new pics from an Eclipse set of various Twilight Saga – Eclipse ‘vehicles’. Above is a Quileute School Bus, along with pics of a Volvo (although – why is it black? Maybe Edward got bored and painted it? non?), a Yellow car under a trap (Alice’s gift from Edward – the Porsche?), and a Jeep (could be Emmet’s, but it needs a serious lift kit! lol).

OK!'s Magazine Cover - Robert Pattinson

** This story is simply bogus. I don't know why they kept on writing this stories when clearly is not true. I guess they are still in their own dreamworld...hmmmm


“Rob Risks It All For Kristen,” blares OK! magazine’s cover story about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, adding “How his engagement to Kristen is putting Rob’s career and the future of Twilight in jeopardy.” (Engagement? Really?? Uh, no.)

Moving on: The tabloid claims that his reported romance with Stewart is progressing so quickly, “it’s not only his legions of female fans who might be disappointed to see Rob taken off the bachelor block by Kristen — there’s also the folks behind the Twilight films.” According to the weak weekly, “A real-life romance between the two would subvert New Moon’s entire story line, in which Bella [Stewart] falls for hunky werewolf Jacob Black, played by 17-year-old Taylor Lautner, and the studio brass want the Bella-Jacob spark to appear equally as plausible as the Bella-Edward [Pattinson] relationship.”

OK, OK! - one is a movie; the other is real life.

Not surprisingly, OK! has a “source” to support this claim of studio pressure. Says the so-called insider: “The producers took Rob and Kris aside and told them to keep their relationship under wraps for a few more months . . . [But] they’re crazy about each other, and they want to shout it from the rooftops.” (You would think this supposed “source” could come up with something less cliché than shouting from rooftops.) Anyway, the reason there are no rooftop rants, alleges the “insider,” is that Pattinson and Stewart are “part of this massive machine called Twilight and producers have this thing timed with scientific precision. They don’t want Rob and Kristen to tell the world about their relationship until the time is right.”

Well, the time is right for us to debunk this junk. Our production sources say no restrictions have been placed on Pattinson and Stewart, other than those needed to protect them from the paparazzi.

Still, the story gets even more ridiculous. That same source claims, “Rob’s whole world is Kristen. I’m surprised he even knows his lines because he’s so absorbed with her . . . He’s all about his woman.” Yeah, he’s really in danger of not learning his lines. Not OK!

“Regardless of whether he’s jeopardizing his career by moving toward marriage with Kristen, Rob is clearly ready and willing to take the risk,” writes OK!

Gossip Cop thinks the tabs sometimes come up with even more creative fantasies than the movies and stars they write about.

Bliss Magazine Scan and Transcript

Setting the scene:

"I'd like to think the vibe on set was relatively calm. I was very careful to try to show the actors diagrams of the sets, so they didn't turn up without knowing what it was like first. It was fun once we got there, but very, very tiring."

Body Beautiful:

"It's impossible to take a bad picture of Rob, even with these motion picture spots all over him! I think the hysteria over him is greater than for any of the other guys because the character he's playing is unattainable and perfect. Thankfully, Rob has a highly developed sense of the absurd, so he doesn't suffer as much as he otherwise would. However, when we were in Vancouver, there were days when he would just stay indoors and read or watch movies. If he went to his window, people would scream! He was kind of a hermit, really/ It's hard for me to judge how he's changed because I didn't know him in the last movie."

Fan Frenzy:

"I tried not to check what fans were saying on the internet until the film finished, as I knew I'd be influenced by them. We had a lot of crazy fans show up during filming, especially in Italy. I mean crazy only in a nice way! More and more fans showed up every day until the entire town was just awash with young people. They didn't even sneak around - they were just there. I'd say 90% were what you'd think of as typical Twilight fans - young girls - and then there were the parents, the Twilight Mums... even the occasional heterosexual male! The only difficulty is when you have a camera, all the lighting gear and you're in a little city with small alleyways and there are thousands of fans there, it's actually hard to move from one place to another. That posed a practical probelem."

Kristen's Character:

"Kristen is one of those actors who inhabits the role she's playing. She was in Joan Jett mode [from filming The Runaways], and then was thrown into promoting New Moon. I think she addresses the questions put to her seriously, and that's not always what the fans are looking for. They want something fun and cute, but she's a serious character. Anyone would be uncomfortable in front of 7,000 screaming fans, it's just a question of how well you hide it."

Robsten's Snog Secrets:

"I was surprised at how clever Rob and Kristen are. That's not to say that I thought they were dummies before, but they had such a strong sense of their own characters and they're very serious about what they might say at any given moment. In a way, you expect people to coast a bit in the sequel or to think, 'This is not a realistic situation because I'm playing a girl who's in love with a vampire, so I have no responsiblilty to convey realistic emotions.' But they both want to put some kind of truth into everything, even when the scenes they're playing are just bizzare."

New Moon Movie: 5 hours Long

The first official band to be writing a song for the New Moon Soundtrack, Death Cab For Cutie, just got to watch a special screening of New Moon - a five hour long version of the flick!

Obviously the movie's time will be cut down.... but still, think of the "Director's Cut" and how many extra's will be on the DVD... or Blu-Ray! :)

It's been announced that on September 13th, Death Cab's video for their New Moon song, Meet Me on the Equinox, will be released on MTV.com.

Interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz

Fellow fansite TwilightersAnonyous had the chance to speak with New Moon director Chris Weitz a while back during their set visit, and they have just now posted an audio interview and transcript of the festivities–


What did you do to make the tone darker? – Have you done anything specific to make it darker as a film?

Chris: Yeah, I think it’s just not to be afraid of the tonalities of the acting and in the tone of the piece. Not, because obviously with a big studio film and a lot of money at stake, you know one can be afraid that if you don’t have people smiling and laughing all the time that you’re gonna be in big trouble. But I think that part of the appeal of this is that it really digs into that melancholy that people experience when they are broken up with: when they lose somebody, when they yearn for somebody, and just not to be afraid of that.....

Billy Burke Family Outing in Vancouver while Sarah Clarks Leaves

Lainey Gossip has new pictures of Bella’s parents Renee & Charlie ( Sarah Clarke and Billy Burke). Sarah is leaving Vancouver as all her filming for Eclipse has finished. While Billy still has scenes to film and is out with his family.

Lainey also has some Eclipse filming deets -

On Monday, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were in “Florida” at a beach house with “Bella’s” mother played by Sarah Clarke. Sarah left Vancouver yesterday after completing her scenes.

Billy Burke who plays the father is still in town, tweeting about rehearsals, and hanging out with his girlfriend (?) and child. All filming on set this week take place at Bella’s house (on a sound stage) so Billy has been shooting with a busy Kristen Stewart.
